  • The best mattress brand received a Which? customer satisfaction score of 87% and an excellent comfort rating of five stars out of five.
  • The worst mattress brand in our survey scored 70% for Which? customer satisfaction and a comfort rating of three stars.

How we researched mattress brands

In August 2021 we asked 2,851 Which? members who had bought a mattress in the past five years to tell us about their experiences. To work out customer scores for mattress brands, we asked what brand of mattress members owned, whether they were satisfied with it and whether they'd recommend it to friends or family.

We also asked about where they had bought their last mattress and how satisfied they were with the experience of buying a mattress from the retailer, both in-store and online, to help you identify the best mattress shops to buy from. As well as an overall score, we also rated the range of mattresses available, the quality of advice offered and how easy it was to arrange delivery, as well as value for money.

If you're not yet a member, join Which? today to find out everything you need to know about buying the best mattress and secure a good night's sleep for years to come.
