Shell Energy broadband deals

Shell Energy offers standard broadband (also known as ADSL) and superfast fibre broadband deals that are widely available. Customers in some areas will also be able to access Shell Energy's ultrafast fibre broadband services - these have average speeds that go right up to 920Mbps.

Shell Energy broadband deals generally last 18 months - it doesn't offer rolling contracts like some other providers. Its deals are usually very competitively priced - they're often some of the cheapest available. Shell Energy also offers discounts on fuel and car washes for broadband customers who join its Shell Go+ programme.

How much is Shell Energy broadband?

Shell Energy offers a wide range of broadband packages, starting with average speeds of 10Mbps and going up to a speedy 920Mbps in some parts of the UK.

Shell Energy broadband speeds

Shell Energy has three core broadband deals - its standard broadband service is called 'Fast Broadband' and has an average speed of 11Mbps. Its two superfast fibre deals are called 'Superfast Fibre' and 'Superfast Fibre Plus' and have average speeds of 38Mbps and 67Mbps respectively. 

If you live in an area that has full fibre broadband services, you can also access Shell Energy's ultrafast broadband services - there are several packages to choose from with average speeds of 106Mbps, 202Mbps, 304Mbps, 506Mbps and 920Mbps to choose between.

Does Shell Energy up broadband prices every year?

Yes - if you opt for a broadband connection with Shell Energy, keep in mind that it reserves the right to raise prices every April, by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rate of inflation as published that January, plus up to 3%. This meant price rises of up to 13.5% in 2023.

What is the latest Shell Energy broadband router?

Shell Energy supplies standard broadband customers with a Technicolor TG588 v2 router. If you take up one of its speedier fibre deals, you'll receive a Technicolor DWA0120 router instead.
