In October 2022, John Lewis Broadband announced that it would not be taking on any new customers and the service would eventually close. As customers come to the end of their contract, they will be offered a new contract with Plusnet.

John Lewis standard broadband packages now come with a Sagemcom 2704n router, while fibre customers receive the ZyXEL VMG8924 router. Routers are supplied free of charge.
John Lewis no longer offers its broadband service to new customers. In October 2022, it announced it would close with customers being offered a new contract with Plusnet when their current contracts end.
John Lewis Broadband offered 12-month long contracts for all of its deals. However, John Lewis Broadband customers should keep in mind that it raises the price of all deals each March - by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rate of inflation published that January, plus an additional 3.9%.

The company offers three broadband deals with average speeds of either 10Mbps, 36Mbps or 66Mbps, depending on the package you choose. All include an unlimited data allowance, although John Lewis applies traffic management to its packages, prioritising certain content in busy periods.
